A fellow named Joe sent me this photo of his DC drive retrofit. He used a 1 HP Pacific Scientific motor (new) and a Dart DC controller (new) from eBay for a grand total of 110. His mill is an Acra make, which is an imported Bridgeport copy, and which uses the steppulley drive.
